Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo has all of the assets of a college town, with an abundance of arts and entertainment activities from which to choose. We have our own symphony orchestra and ballet company, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, theaters, and outdoor festival sites. Located about 40 miles east of the shores of Lake Michigan, the sports enthusiasts in our midst enjoy a variety of golf courses, nature centers, cycling trails, myriad lakes, and a nearby ski resort. Other area attractions include the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, the Gilmore Car Museum, and the Air Zoo, a museum of aviation history. If you are looking for a night out, the downtown area features a variety of restaurants and nightspots with live entertainment. There are even three casinos nearby, modern-day reminders of our original Native American Heritage.

Battle Creek

Battle Creek, also known as “Cereal City, USA,” offers activities for everyone. Its history showcases the American food industry, the Underground Railroad, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church with its emphasis on healthful living. Battle Creek offers a variety of museums, cultural events, and recreational activities, ranging from the Binder Park Zoo, which is ranked one of the top U.S. zoological parks, to the annual Field of Flight and Hot Air Balloon Championships.
